AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A life-changing donation is helping the Garden City Gospel Mission better serve men in its recovery program, thanks to a newly donated 15-passenger bus and a $5,000 gift.
Andy Jones said the opportunity came together quickly after Patrick, who runs the mission, reached out about finding a bus.

“So Patrick, who runs it, called me a year and a half ago, I guess, now, and said, we’ve got $20,000 for a bus for the Garden City Gospel Mission. Can you help us? And I said, yeah, we don’t have them, but we started looking for them. Four hours later, Mr. DeFore called me, and he said, we have a church bus. Would you help us sell it? I said, sure, what kind is it? 15 passenger, exactly what Patrick called about”
The bus was donated by the Gerald Jones Auto Group.
