I just received this in the mail!! Before anyone asks who/where I purchased it from, I would NOT recommend this seller/shop nor buy from them again. If you would still like to know, please buy at your own risk 🙃

I have some context below. Sorry for the long post in advance!!!

So I purchased this plant online on March 11th, 2026. The listing allowed the buyer to select the exact plant they wanted and the price varied between plant. Even the description said that the exact plant you chose is what you would receive. I received a notification (on March 13th) for the expected delivery date and it was updated and expected to be received way later. I messaged the seller to ask about the expected delivery date update and they said it was an “internal system update” and the original date wouldn’t be affected.

On March 17th, it was updated as shipped and on the 19th they messaged me saying my plant was ready to ship out, but still holding my plant due to the weather/heat. I told them that the weather for that week and the following week were in the high 90s. I told them that I work 3 12 hour shifts Saturday-Monday and asked if they could ship it the following Monday the 23rd (they state on their shop that they ship out Mondays and Tuesdays to prevent the plants from staying at the post office over the weekends) since that would would be better, so it would arrive during the week when I am home and not on the weekend where it would sit out in the heat. They appreciated the info and said they’d ship it out early that week. So then comes the 23rd. I asked them if it was going to be shipped that day and they said they weren’t shipping that day (Monday), but possibly Tuesday or Wednesday. And I thought to myself, why would they ship it on a Wednesday when their shop states they only ship Mondays and Tuesdays? I kindly mentioned to them again that no one would be home to receive the plant if it arrived on the weekend. They reassured me it would arrive fine.

This is now why I wouldn’t recommend them or buy from them again. They messaged me on March 25 and said my plant was ready to be sent out. They sent me some photos for me to review to make sure that I was happy with it
.When I looked at the photos, I realized it was not at all the plant that I had selected. I told them that I did have a concern and brought up that the plant in the photos that they sent me was not the plant I purchased nor any of the other ones on that listing. On the 26th, they apologized and said they were sorry for not mentioning earlier that they were having trouble “locating that exact plant”. They offered to show me other options of plants that they had available. I told them it was fine to show me other options and I asked which plants from that listing they actually had available. They asked me to give them about a day to get some photos. On the 27th, they got back to me and the photos they sent me were of none of the plants in that listing. So at this point I was pretty upset. Though the plant I received is gorgeous and some of the other ones they sent me photos of were too, they didn’t compare to the variegation or quality of the ones originally listed.

I selected a plant and also told them that I would appreciate a partial refund along with the plant I selected due to the inaccurate description/not the same plants listed. They agreed and issued me a partial refund. On March 30th, it was finally dropped off with the carrier and it arrived today April 1st. Before it got delivered today, I checked the original listing and they did update some of the photos to the ones that they had let me select from. They did still have some photos up of the original ones that they supposedly have and I noticed that the plant that I had selected (the second time) that arrived today is listed for sale??? I was thinking am I about to be scammed and not get that plant that I had chose the second time or is someone else going to be scammed thinking they are buying the plant I just received??

So I’m not sure if they are scamming people and not sending the actual plants people think they are buying from them or if they just don’t actually have them to begin with. Anyway, my rant is over. It was a really annoying process and yes I know, I could’ve just asked for a full refund and gone with another seller, but I didn’t. I am happy with the plant in the end. It is gorgeous. It did arrive with fungus gnats and I noticed as soon as they flew out of the packaging. This was my first time dealing with a terrible seller/shop.
