The gardening workshop was well attended with 55 people there. People seemed to be enthusiastic about getting their gardens started. We heard presentations about soil amendments, row-crop gardening, shading for your tomatoes when it gets too hot, and even some reasons for why we should start a garden. It might be important soon! We also had a presentation on food crops that will keep coming back year after year. The Gardening workshop was held March 22 at the Orofino Seventh Day Adventist Church. Presenters were Laurie Parson, Ron Elliott, and Ron Velonosi.
