I recently had added a couple humidifiers and a thermohygrometer (or whatever that device is called). I was so proud.

Today I was sick and trying to complete as much work as possible to just lay in my bed for hours. Then we heard crashing sounds in the kitchen and my brother went as we both thought it was some cat shenanigans. Couple seconds later he says "you're gonna want to see this" and this is what I saw indeed.

Just wanted to share with some people who might relate to my pain right now. I know everything is salvageable but having to pick up literal pieces of months of work while sick isn't something I'm thrilled about.

Sending you the best wishes so that this doesn't happen to you 🙂

Yikes! I bow my head in silence with you.

Though plants can be pretty tough. Most of them will probably survive this, just beat up

Mannn!! *A* plant slipped out of my hands yesterday and my heart crumbled along with the loosely potted soil it was in. If I came home to this I would be so crushed!! Good luck with everything!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I feel this so hard. I got the flu once, was the sickest I’ve ever been, and the giant wall-length bathroom mirror fell and smashed into a billion shards of glass that filled the bathroom and hallway. I bawled as I picked up pieces shaking with fever

    Ouch…

But if it helps, I have a mini greenhouse outside which has flipped over in the wind multiple times, plants got snapped in half etc but all survived and grew back eventually.

Oof. I’m so sorry. I know from personal experience that’s rough. It sucks you have to go through that cleanup and reset up while sick.
A year and a half ago I experienced a huge flood and the majority of my plants were fully submerged in water tainted with everything from sewage to gasoline and transmission fluid from submerged vehicles. Even my super finicky alocasias made a full recovery. I’m only saying this as encouragement that your plant babies will recover from this!
