Nepenthes Miranda!

I Got a 24W plant lamp, decided to grow a Miranda.

This is my first time growing a plant, and I'm not sure if I can grow it well.

I heard that keeping humidity is important, so I put it in an acrylic case with a magnet slightly open door….Right way?

If you have any advice, please let me know!

Managing the watering schedule is probably most important. You never want it to dry out, but it should also never be water logged. I’m by no means an expert, but what I do is typically water it until I see it come out the bottom and then leave it for a day or two. Depending on the setup, you will have to adjust based on how quickly it dries out.

If you want to speed up its growth, you can put something like an osmocot pellet in each trap every month or so. This has a decent chance to burn the pitcher up though.

The pitchers will die off eventually, that’s normal. As long as it’s growing new leaves and pitchers, you are doing fine. If it is growing leaves and no pitchers, you probably need to up the light.

Edit: forgot to add that you should primarily use rain water, distilled, or reverse osmosis water. Avoid water with lots of minerals in it.

You want a different soil mix. While a peat mix can work, its not reccomended
