The Estes Park Garden Club will begin its 2026 gardening season with a program titled “Estes Park Gardener’s Favorite Plants” in the Hondius Room of the Estes Valley Library  from 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday, April 13.

The program, presented by Merle M. Moore, will feature five plants each from five local gardens.

Attendees will learn about each garden’s altitude, whether the garden is fenced, what its light conditions are, how frequently the garden is watered, and why the gardener chose their particular five plants..

Moore will draw upon his more than 40-year career in horticulture to answer questions about the many and varied challenges of gardening at altitude.

The Estes Valley Library is located at 335 E Elkhorn Ave.
