Wife bought this couple years back having heat problems.

We have exhaust fan but temp is still getting up to 106 during the day.

its only reaching 82 so far outside.

We need to figure something to put over it during the day.

I've considered more windows like old storm windows on the sides to help with air flow.

But im almost considering building a roof overhead to shade it.

You need an inlet fan near the bottom opposite side of the exhaust fan.

Knowing what geographic area and growing zone would help, but lots of climates would require a shade cloth for parts of the year.

Your exhausted fan is a 4 inch computer fan? Need something more robust. For a real simple solution add a automatic greenhouse window (30$) on the roof then force cool outside air INTO the greenhouse. Heat will escape from the top and assist with air pulling.

Also, shade cloth once it really starts getting hot outside.

I agree with the shade cloth idea that might be the easiest route to mitigate your problem

Get a 12″-14″ louvered exhaust fan on Amazon plus a cheap outlet thermostat. Will move plenty of air.

What helped me so far has been installing a powered louvered exhaust fan in the wall opposite the door, putting a 90% wheat-colored shade cloth over the roof, and running a homemade chiller made from a box fan, fountain pump and evaporative cooling pad. I’m in zone 8b, and we’re already seeing daytime temps of 84°.
