I saw a post the other day, in which the person had a rubber plant that was healthy but hadn’t grown a bit after having quite some time. I had my rubber plant in one of the best light locations in my house for years, and the same. I moved it to my greenhouse 4 months ago, and you can really see the difference of the leaves that existed before, and the new growth in a short time! I guess they really do like lots of light!

  2. Yes they love heaps of light, ever since I moved mine outside they have big & shiny leaves!

    Yeah, in variegated plants all the white tissue is basically parasitic, and the glaucous (bluish) parts also receive less light through the thickened cuticle!

    TLDR, especially variegated plants need an extra boost in terms of light!
