I am physically not able to manually get rid of the vetch with tools at the moment because I’m recovering from surgery. I do have a tractor that I can get rid of this. How deep should I use the tractor to get rid of it and put it inside soil. Or do I surface pull it with the tractor and let it sit on top. I plan to grow sunflowers in a month

Just leave it. It’ll die off in a couple of months. Adding that will not inhibit your sunflowers from growing at all. I grow fetch every year in my yard as a green compost and by the time it gets warm, the stuff’s dying off already. It’s a cool weather crop.
