We have a ~75ft douglas fir(?) in our backyard and landscapers cut a structural root after I told the PM to leave it. Last two pictures show the root prior to the cut.
What’s going to happen to this tree? Any structural failure concerns here? What should my next steps be?

Given the size of the tree I think it will probably be fine in the long run but i’d fire the landscapers and not let any other ones near the trees.
