Im trying to look into the most sustainable meat farming. Key criteria; helps restore biodiversity, requires less land, does not use external feed source. So far it looks like goose and rhea seems to be the one. So why is there more Geese meat on the market?

Why isn’t there more goose meat?
Well.. have you ever been around a flock of geese? They’re mean and a pain in the ass to manage, extremely loud, and messy.
There is a reason that some animals are mostly wild, and some are domesticated. And it’s not the reasons you listed. It’s input vs output. How much food sure, but also how much effort, time, and use of land vs how much output.
Geese are extremely territorial. And while you can get them to imprint on their caretaker. Anyone else will be considered an invader. Especially children. And farm animals that attack children on sight… don’t stick around a farm long.
No, bugs are the most sustainable source of meat and protein.
I don’t farm them, only eat them occasionally as a gross out factor. But they are the most sustainable.
Probably guinea pigs. They’re traditionally kept in little burrows in the floors of homes and eat kitchen and garden waste.
