pring is in full bloom, and so is one of Jamestown’s most beloved traditions! The Quononoquott Garden Club invites the community to its annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Fort Getty Pavilion on Fort Getty Road. RAIN OR SHINE.
Garden lovers, green thumbs, and curious beginners alike will discover a vibrant selection of plants, including hardy perennials and many native varieties perfectly suited to our local growing conditions. Whether you’re refreshing your garden beds, adding pollinator-friendly plants, or simply looking for inspiration, this lively event offers something for everyone—plus helpful tips and advice from experienced gardeners.
More than just a plant sale, this event helps cultivate beauty across Jamestown. Proceeds support the Quononoquott Garden Club’s ongoing mission of civic beautification, with members tending and enhancing gardens throughout the island. Their work can be seen at both welcome signs, the Four Corners pollinator garden, Town Hall planters, the Fire House Museum garden, and the Memorial Square planters at East Ferry.
As you travel through town, you can also enjoy one of the club’s most cheerful contributions—sweeping displays of daffodils along Route 138, a sure sign that spring has arrived.
The Quononoquott Garden Club warmly thanks the community for its continued support and invites everyone to join in this celebration of gardening and community spirit. Come early, bring a friend, and leave inspired—your garden (and you) will be glad you did!
