I started this project with my brother this year in Ghana(West Africa) and we’ve lost the harvest at this point. So many symptoms were shown. Initially I was guessing it was some tomato disease but nothing in the nightshade family has been grown in the area for at least 12 years. My second guess is Herbicide poisoning because my farm hands decided to spray glyphosate on the soil before we plowed it for weed control. Any advice would be appreciated.

Plants need to breathe and you suffocated them.
No pesticides. Keep it organic. Healthy organic plants have more resistance to disease and pests. They look like they might need more water and or some shade. If you’re going to use pesticides I would use something organic like neem oil.
I’d prefer weeds over the plastic personally.
The weeds can help support a natural healthy environment for your plants. They can attract lots of beneficial insects.
Have you guys never seen tomatoes grown in plastic mulch before? That’s not what killed them. This looks a LOT like a fungal disease to me. This is not what glyphosate poisoning looks like. I couldn’t tell you where the disease came from unfortunately. There’s tons of resources online for prevention, but at a point if the disease has already spread there’s not much you can do. Sorry for your loss.
They look like they’ll still give you good fruits. Just keep taking care of them.
