I have a spider plant with babies but I'm not sure when to cut them off and plant, I don't want to do it too early, but yet I've saved the mother plant from just have a few little wee roots. Any thoughts if they're mature enough?
You can cut them at any time or leave it forever if mother plant is big and strong.

They will start to grow roots while still attached to the mother plant id wait a little longer if you want to propogate. I always just left mine on, took about 2 years for the stalk to dry up for them to fall off on their own.
