I just had an olive tree planted. it is about 5 feet tall. it's leaning quite a bit – can I take it to help it grow straight or is it too late? Any other tips for how I can make this look better? Thanks!

Why would you have this planted if you weren’t happy with the shape?

It will eventually find vertical unless you have prevailing winds blowing it that way( if so, stake ot tie it back to straight

Honestly just tie it to a stake and see if that works if not. Just rip it out and find a better specimen. I wouldn’t want to live in my house for years looking at something I am unhappy with.

    I can’t believe I have to explain this….. It’s extending an olive branch……

if you look at mature olive trees, you will rarely see a straight one. they are often multitrunked and have a beautiful, contorted form. so you can either accept that you chose a tree that has a natural form that isn’t a telephone pole, or find someone who will love this tree as it is and plant a tree that will naturally grow into what you’re looking for.
