VENU’s CEO told WFAA that the hiring of Sarah Rothchild to lead strategic finance and investor relations is “a huge home run win for us.”

DALLAS — VENU, the developer of the Sunset Amphitheater project in McKinney, announced Monday that Sarah Rothschild has joined the company as senior vice president of strategic finance and investor relations, a move aimed at supporting its continued national growth.

Rothschild brings more than 15 years of experience in capital markets, investor relations and corporate finance. Most recently, she served as senior director of investor relations and treasury at Madison Square Garden Entertainment, where she helped oversee investor strategy and treasury functions, according to the press release from the company. Her background also includes roles at MSG Sports, Sphere Entertainment and PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as experience as an investment analyst at a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund.

“It’s a big, it’s a huge home run win for us. It’s like Babe Ruth signing on to play on your team.” JW Roth, the company’s founder, chairman and CEO told WFAA’s Richard Solomon.

“VENU is at a remarkable stage in its growth trajectory,” Rothschild said. “It is rare, and it is exactly why I wanted to be part of what comes next.”

In her new role, Rothschild will oversee investor relations, capital formation, treasury and financial communications, working closely with leadership to support expansion and deepen relationships with institutional investors.

The hire comes as VENU continues adding to its portfolio of live entertainment venues, including the $300 million Sunset Amphitheater in McKinney. The 20,000-seat amphitheater, near U.S. Highway 75 and State Highway 121, broke ground in June of 2025.  The project, backed in part by an investment from Troy Aikman, was expected to open in 2026 but has been delayed until 2027.
