“What I love most about this event is the energy in the room, people shopping for fresh flowers, enjoying hot brunch together, and bidding on auction baskets, all the support a great cause,” said Tulisa Bollinger, manager of gift shops, volunteers and Friends of Trinity at UnityPoint Health Trinity. “Blossoms and Brunch is so much fun, but its also full of heart. Every dollar raised helps us care for people when they need it the most.”

Proceeds from the Blossoms and Brunch directly support caring community programs including:

Caring Closet – Supplies clothes to patients that would otherwise be discharged without any Caring Cart – Provides essential items to inpatients in need Caring Canines – Provides pet therapy services Prayer Shawls – Offers spiritual comfort

New this year, proceeds from Blossoms and Brunch will also benefit Trinity Cancer Center.

“Every day, we meet patients and families who are navigating one of the toughest moments of their lives, and the support from events like Blossoms and Brunch truly makes a difference,” said Ahmad Abu-Hashyeh, MD, Oncologist and Hematologist at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Cancer Center. “These funds help us create a space where people feel cared for, supported and never alone. We’re incredibly grateful for a community that continues to show up so generously for our patients.”

The program also helps meet needs for patients in need of blanket warmers, wheelchairs and essential supplies during vulnerable moments, said Laurie Byrd, Friends of Trinity Committee Chair.
