COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) — WACH FOX and The Jeffcoat Law Firm have partnered to spotlight everyday heroes who are making a positive impact in the community.
This week’s Pay It Forward honoree is Lisa Kershaw.
Lisa is a local gardener who works tirelessly to educate, feed, and provide for local communities.

Lisa helped establish the GROW Farm in Columbia, SC, a community food forest and sustainable growing education hub.
Through the GROW FARM and her nursery, Lisa has provided free education and garden building for several schools and community centers to teach people how to grow food at their own homes.
She does it all with grants, donations and her own funds from her nursery.
Lisa often gives plants, gardens supplies, and tools to Midlands schools.

We just wanted to reach out and help other people who may not have the resources by providing them seedlings and education at affordable prices, scholarship programs, bring sustainable growing education to the community,” Lisa said.
As part of the recognition, Lisa received $500.
