Orchid: Root or stem? What do you guys think?

Got this orchid not too long ago! She is beautiful. I noticed today this little thing growing. Could this really be another stem? I’ve heard stems have like a pointy look to them rather than rounded like a root. But also i’ve heard orchids like to be symmetrical- so it wouldn’t be growing from the same side as the already existing stem, right?? Idk guys i’m confused😭 hella hope it’s another stem tho cause it’s like one of my dreams to have a two stemmed orchid
