I bought a house last October with two small apple trees in the back. One is very obviously healthier then the other. This weekend I sprayed both with fruit tree pesticide. the one that has been struggling is now shedding its bark like crazy. The healthier one gained some black spots on the trunk, but still looks ok.
should I be worried? Will the slanted one make it? or would it be better to take her down before she infects the healthier one?

What black spots are you referrring to? I see lychen on the trees, but that’s benign. The bark shedding looks pretty bad on pic #2, but that’s not from lychen.
I dont see any diseases from this picture I just see dieback from an improper prune. There amy be some other type of mechanical damage that caused the dieback as well but I cant see it here. It wont move to the other tree. It would be like asking if a scratch on you can cause a scratch on someone else
