I scored this for free and dug it out this afternoon. Not much of the roots are left cause i was limited by the pot size and the weight. What would be the best way to keep it alive? cut most of the branches off, put some rooting hormone on the cut roots, and put it in a bigger pot? There's also orange lipids on the bottom of the leaves. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks

Just plant it like any other tree. It will grow. They will grow from a cut branch stuck into dirt.
I’d leave the branches, frangipani don’t really need a big root ball to survive.
They’re about due to drop their leaves so that will happen anyway. I’d just chuck it in some decent quality succulent soil mix and water in with seasol.
Be careful not to overwater it in winter, it will rot easily until it gets a decent root system going.
I’ve planted frangipani logs of a similar size straight up (once callused) and they grew just fine. I’d remove the leaves though.
