PEOPLE are being invited to a special garden party to help support the ongoing restoration of the Lichfield Canal.
The event takes place at 6 Swan Cottages on Burton Road in Whittington and give visitors the chance to enjoy a bite to eat by the waterside and browse a number of stalls.
They can also find out about the work of the Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust.
A spokesperson said:
“Every penny raised on the day will go directly towards restoring the Lichfield Canal, helping to bring this historic waterway back to life for future generations.”
There will be a barbecue, hot drinks, homemade cakes and a pre-loved book stalls at Eric’s Easter Garden Party from 10am to 3pm on Saturday (4th April).
