This plum tree has some sentimental value. If it’s not savable, that’s okay.

I’ve included a photo at the end showing the alive portion in red and the dead portion in blue.

Don’t give up on it it’s trying its damndest. It’s got life all that living growth seem to have been after it fell. I see tree like this all the time out here in the desert that live despite everything and are my favorite. Put some big rocks to support it tho hate for the last surviving root to snap off. I like the branch that come back to the right I would encourage that one when possible. But no pruning for a while he’s been thru enough lol.
Idk I use horticultural oil in the winter do yall think neem oil would be good now on the dead wood and such to deter insects? Figure out why it died back and fell I can almost bet that hot evening sun was the issue but could be mistaken. If you think it was paint living tissue with bright white with that orchard stuff or agricultural limestone/diatomaceous earth water wood glue and maybe copper fungicide. It’s how I keep mine everything alive down here in the desert. It’s so obvious every old tree you see is dead on the south side. Of the trunk. Plums especially with dark bark. And probably spray copper fungicide all over the tree frequently I’m fighting that leaf curl and sap crap and black spots in an old neglected plum rn.

Leave it as it is, it’s a beauty.
You could put a prop underneath it for support.
Looks healthy in what’s alive, let nature do its thing!
