While I have been growing veggies for a number of years, I still don’t feel like I know what I am doing. This is the earliest I have seeded in my greenhouse window. 10 varieties of tomatoes (thank you @Bill Yoder), two kinds of mini cukes, two kinds of Black Zucchini, Spaghetti Squash, Delecata Squash and Pony Red Watermelon from seeds I dried myself a few years ago. Here are pics from my success so far. From reading some of your advice, I added a warming mat and a gro light that I have on 8 hrs a day. As I discovered from all you people’s comments, the cukes, zukes and squash grow faster and cannot be transplanted before planing outside. The growing trays do not separate. Some of the leaves were yellowing. What does that mean? I live on the north shore of Chicago so planting outside will not be until mid-late May. Open to any and all advice.

Heat mats should be discontinued after your seeds germinate. Once true leaves emerge you want to start fertilizing with a balanced fertilizer like a 10-10-10 or 20-20-20 once a week at about 25-50%.

Invest in some grow racks. It’s easier when you have different plants growing on different shelves so you can accommodate their needs.
