Need your help. I have two of these growing in my backyard. Are these weeds or will they grow to be tall trees? If they are trees i wanna relocate one of them for better shade in another part of my backyard. Thanks in advance.
Oak. Personally hate them. Absolutely huge, tend to ruin fences etc. Leaf shed is crazy and the pollen is a nuisance. BUT some love the look. Not for me.

Some flavor of red oak. lucky you, those are great trees. I don’t think you’d have much luck relocating either though oaks don’t tolerate root damage.

It’s sort of both. A weed is just a plant in a place where you don’t want it. That is an oak tree sapling. If you don’t want an oak tree, then it might be considered a weed. If I were you I’d just let it be. It looks like a nice location for a tree given there isn’t much planted around it.

When it has acorns, small acorns lean towards pin oak; very large ones are red oak.

Those are not replantable, unless you have a proper depth hydraulic spade to get adequate root. But those are prob 3-4 ft deep by now so you’re not going to successfully replant with a shovel.
