What’s the best way to prune indoor Hyacinths so they thrive?

You plant them outside as they are now to die back and they’ll grow where you planted them next year. The bulb replenishes this way.

Some people save bulbs but I don’t have much success with this.

    Safe.

Depends what equipment and training you have.

Don your protective gear, a sharp pair of pliers, steady hands and always the blue first.

Yes deadhead them. And get them outside, they are not indoor plants. They need the intensity of the sun and also the cold winter to reflower. Unless you want to start growlights and put them in your fridge, outside is where they will be happiest.

Next winter/spring you can pick up a few new ones for indoor flowering.
While these will be reflowering in your garden right around this time.
