VFT flowering first time

hello all, first time carnivorous plant owner, and I bought this VFT from my local grocery store a couple months ago from one of those plastic death tubes on a whim. I immediately changed substrates (peat moss, sphagnum moss, perlite) and placed it in a larger glazed ceramic planter with drainage. It is currently sitting in a drainage dish with constant distilled water in the bottom for moisture. I noticed this new growth today and thought it was a flower, I just wanted to confirm it is a flower and whether or not I should cut it off since it is a young plant (flowering is bad for young or unhealthy plants based on what I read). First pic is from today, second was shortly after buying it and cutting it out of said tube lol about 1.5 months ago, last two are the flower itself growing. If I have to cut do y’all have any tips? Thanks!
