Last year was my very first year growing tomatoes. I went in with no experience and it showed. I ended up loosing all of my plants to blight. Plus, I started late, beginning of may.
This year I’m a bit more prepared.
I’m growing different varieties, purple boy, black krim, lemon boy, super fantastic, German Johnson, yellow pear, sun sugar, sweet 100 and many more

Nice looking set up.
Looks good!
I’m also near Houston. For next season, check out Hoss (www.growhoss.com). Their varieties of tomatoes and peppers tend to do extremely well here. No tomatoes will do well through our summers, but I grow tomatoes from August-September (depending on hurricane season) usually through June (with a turnover around February).
Roadster, Red Snapper and Hossinators all are good friends.
You don’t deal with squirrels or moles or rabbits or raccoons that eat the tomatoes or dig Into the soil?
