The cute pot has done nothing for this guy’s wellbeing! Do I need something more hip for him to be healthy?

You’d think he’d be more grateful that I saved his life three years ago after I found him hot glued onto a pumpkin!

Soil looks too damp, try adding some grit.

!overwatering due to poorly draining soil that lacks grit, and insufficient !light. Repot appropriately, and acclimate to more light or !growlights. See bot replies below for further assistance.

Just some first looks, the soil may be too organic. I use a “Texas” soil that I get from one of our main grocery store chains. I mix it with a little sand and about 30% perlite.
It gives the roots an opportunity to move around, and to have the soil drain whats not being absorbed.
The pot looks a little too big for the plant, but I don’t think that’s a major factor here.

  5. Good start would be 50/50 perlite and any good cactus soil, don’t water until it’s dry and showing signs of dehydration and it needs a lot of sun, 30k lux minimum for it to be thriving not surviving.

I have nothing helpful to add, I just love what the pot says ☺️

Yeah you might want to just buy another succulent that isn’t dead

The pot is fine, especially if you can add a drainage hole. What you need is a waaaaay grittier soil. Pull this bad boy out. Chop him down, leave a tiny bit of stalk. Chop the rest off. Dip the end in some cinnamon. Let it sit for a day or two. Put it in new soil. Should be at LEAST 50% perlite. I don’t see a single speck of it here
