Recently learned about terrariums and took a deep dive into them! Learned a lot about them and wanted to build my own, hopefully the start of many!
Wanted to see about any feedback/tips for future builds.
– I used pebbles for the drainage layer
– plant mesh to separate the substrate
– charcoal mix
– terrarium soil mix
– moss (realized it was preserved, so not live, problem? Wish it was live to see it grow)
– slate stone for the hard scape
– small plants that were recommended for the environment
– sprayed down then sealed
Only two things I want to add are live moss, like a not so puffy one like this preserved one, and springtails for keeping things tidy. If I don’t add either, would that be a problem? Thinking of finding those two things this week and switching out. Tips for best care or things to lookout for?
