An evening of garden inspiration and community spirit is being promised at Dobbies’ Galton store this spring.
The ‘spring shopping evening’ event, taking place on Thursday, April 2, will feature garden-themed activities, hands-on workshops, food tastings, and offers.
The first 100 customers will have the chance to get their hands on a pair of gardening gloves.

Ayesha Nickson, events programme manager at Dobbies, said: “We are excited to invite our customers to Dobbies for our Spring Shopping Evening at the Galton store, where they can discover fresh planting ideas and explore the latest outdoor living trends.
“This special event is the perfect way to kick off the season, celebrate community spirit, and spark garden inspiration.
“We can’t wait to welcome our customers and help everyone make the most of garden living in the months ahead.”
Music from local groups will feature and guests can sample items from Dobbies’ new ‘cottage kitchen garden’ foodhall.
A free Create Your Own Spring Container Workshop will take place at 6pm.
Attendees will learn how to design and plant seasonal containers.
The restaurant will be open until 7.30pm for drinks and light bites.
