Would this be a good green for composting. It’s grass we collected from last year. by R1J1 composting 7 Comments Dirtheavy 1 month ago it’s going to really stink when you turn those piles over… it’s already composting right where it is hppy11 1 month ago Depends on your setting, how big is your pile… No matter what you do anyways, as long as you’re following the ratio of green/brown. Plus it’s been composting on its own for a year or so, so that’s a plus. Either throw it/ some in your pile or just add browns on that pile Ineedmorebtc 1 month ago More a brown if left for months, most of the nitrogen will have offgassed. Still fantastic for a pile. wwwidentity 1 month ago That’s all brown now as far as I’m concerned. BondJamesBond63 1 month ago I think if it’s turned brown it’s a brown. Grass clippings would be green til they turn brown. But it never hurts to add anything that will rot to compost. Unhappy-Top4864 1 month ago how much grass did you collect last year HandleGlad7612 1 month ago seems like a stretch, doesn’t it
