This does look like a terminal flower, as it appears to be coming out of the center stem. If true, the plant will unfortunately die. At least enjoy the flowers!
(Lots of folks like to say Eches are not monocarpic. And while that’s generally accurate, it does happen. And it’s a little maddening when it does).

Id consider chopping the stem low and seeing if it off sets.
