It’s time to reveal the new home of Gardening with Alan Titchmarsh. I promised you a full tour of the new garden and here it is!
Nestled behind a 16th century cottage, the garden is a classic English cottage garden. It’s already a beautiful space, full of wonderful features but my plan is to add to its glory.
In this video I show you my grand plan for the garden including all the different areas that are on my to do list.
I can’t wait to get started and I hope you join me as we transform the garden step by step.
My name’s Alan Titchmarsh, and I’m absolutely delighted to welcome you to my YouTube channel! I’ve been a gardener for over 60 years and I can safely say that gardening is one of life’s greatest joys, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Whether you have green fingers or just starting out with your very first window box, join me in my garden for practical tips, step-by-step guides, and plenty of friendly advice to help you make the most of your garden — large or small.
So pop the kettle on, pull up a chair (or a trowel!), and join me each week as we celebrate the wonderful world of gardening together.

Very nice! Roll on winning the lottery! But why is he out of puff?
😂Challenging yourself to make use of the small space of a veg garden? 🤦♀
What a fantastic garden! looking forward to seeing the changes you make along the way.🌻

Can't believe the ducks are Barbara and Tom.

Please would you show the development of a new bed ( ideally not a border) literally from nothing but a patch of grass. Thank you.
It's Mr T on YouTube! How did I not know until now?! Wonderful! You're only down t'road from me now (or you were, not sure how far you've moved), but you bring a little bit of beautiful Yorkshire with you every time you appear for all us Southerners to enjoy. Sub'd and many congratulations sir on your YT award. I'll bet that'll be 2k before you know it. Judyx
Hi, I love all that you do in a garden so thank you so much for inviting us all on this journey. Now this may sound strange but your garden, which you described as a sanctuary reminds me of Derek Jacobi’s depiction of the monk Cadfael and his garden. ❤
A cottage? That house is more like a castle! It’s a lovely garden though. Pardon my curiosity but why did you leave the other house with its beautiful garden?
Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one.
Oh wow wow wow, how absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to watch this journey!

Watching this is both inspiring and cruel as I will never have this beauty in my garden. 🌸
Truly beautiful garden. Can't imagine taking care of it all myself it's so huge, but you loving that hobby I bet it's great for you 🙂
Your comment about it being the journey rather than the destination has been a great reminder for me. Thank you.
iT IS NOT A pATIO ITS A TERRACE
House is better but your old gardens much better
This looks amazing! Can’t wait to see how you transform it. 😀
Love your house and garden. Hello from New Zealand
You are my hero!
What a beautiful house and property!! Congratulations on your 100k subscribers 🎉 I look forward to watching your future videos in the new garden.
Alan’s robbed the gipsy caravan from Wollerton Old Hall. I wondered where it had gone lol
Happy days living next door to Alan in the 1960s …
delightful new home 🏡 x
Looking forward to seeing the transformation(s). I hope you'll also suggest more economical solutions for some designs – for example, when designing the back patio container garden, can you look at a range of container price points? I've recently started developing a container garden by my back door and have been shocked at the price of containers. I've had to choose mostly plastic in place of terracotta or ceramics. I'm using the really cheap and not so pretty pots at the back and keeping the nice ones for the front, but how to arrange them is a challenge
(how to create levels without spending on purpose built staging etc.; I've started by making the levels with stones / house bricks and the like). Also, would be very interested to see a steps project – different ways to add a few steps between garden levels. 🪴🌱🌳🌲
ok and they have shown a few of those gypsy caravans on those antiques programs on the tv looks nice
I loved Alan's previous garden. But I'm more at home with his new garden as its so much more natural.
Congratulations, to you and your family, on your new home. An amazing paradise. 💖
What a fantastic house and gardens.
I am looking forward to watching and seeing what you do with the garden and getting some inspiration from you. 😊
Looks great. Carry on gardening mate 🇬🇧
So exciting – I've got a new garden too so will follow closely!
Ok I really want to be happy but I have to confess to being extremely jealous Alan 😅
I am however VERY HAPPY to have found you, do miss you and your gardening adventures 🥰
It looks beautiful Alan. I am really looking forward to seeing what you get up to. Maybe get some Mandarin ducks as neighbours for Tom & Barbara-I wonder what they could be named.
Big or small, a sanctuary is exactly what a garden should be.
What a beautiful home and garden. Absolutely stunning. Looking forward to watching its transformation x
