so I was gifted a tiny sprout that was supposed to be daikon radish, which I've never grown before. I repotted it and it shot up fast, growing quickly like beans, and put out a bunch of bean/seed like pods with light purple flowers. root looks woody. im located in northwest florida!

Your plant seems to have bolted and gone to seed. Maybe because of the heat.

They are tasty as a snack or you can let them ripen and drop seeds plant those

I let mine bolt last summer cause they started anyways and I love the pretty pink flowers! And I got more seeds out of it 😁
Yeah, it’s surprising what the top part of a radish looks like, isn’t it? I always assumed they would just look like carrots or something, but then you take your eye off it for 5 minutes and end up with a weird, straggly mess like this.
