The South Schuylkill Garden Club is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a local student using proceeds from its annual plant sale.
Applicants must reside in Schuylkill County and be a high school or college student planning to study one of the following subjects in an institution of higher learning: horticulture, floriculture, landscape architecture, conservation, forestry, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental control, land-use planning, land management and allied fields. College students already enrolled in these majors are welcome to apply.
