Before and after pictures of a red oak that was pruned to promote a strong centralized leader. Branches that were of a similar diameter to what is the desired leader were reduced in length to stunt their development. I know this looks super awkward and not pretty at all but I do promise that this gives a tree good architecture for its future development. Feel free to give feedback.

Looks like a good plan. It’d be awesome if you could go back and get pictures of it over the next 10-15 years.
