Saturday Morning Garden Blogging has been around here since early 2005, and we intend to be here well into the future. Come on in, and let’s talk about our gardens. Successes, failures, obsessions or experiments; we’d love to hear about them. Bring pictures. We love pictures!!
Morning Y’all, and welcome to another DownHeah edition of SMGB. It appears that Spring planting time is coming very soon, and I’m behind again. Real life seems to find a way to mess up my planting schedule…
I made the short trip over to McShan, AL, a couple of weeks ago to pick up my Big Beef seedlings. I’m planting 8 other varieties from seed, but they were only started yesterday, so not much to show.

Also 60- something pepper seedlings…
There’s still much work to be done as far as getting my planting beds and containers ready. I’m looking at maybe the 3rd week in April as my “plant out” date; we’ll see…
Luci was not at all interested in my tomato seed stash.

Keeping them all in a shoebox is about the extent of my organizational ability…
She was more interested in the wheelbarrow.

Had to bring them in for a couple of frosty nights…
All the rain here last May/June wiped out my tomatoes, but was very good for my 7 Sweet Gum trees; they made a ridiculous amount of gumballs…

Another load ready for the firepit…
What’s going on in your garden(s)?
**ICYMI**
