Our small garden's main trees are a persimmon tree and an apricot tree. The persimmon is quite old, about 40/50 years old, the apricot quite young, about 6/7 years old. The persimmon produces a nice amount of fruits each year, while the apricot very few. Some time ago it showed leaves with tiny holes, I guess it was some insects infestation.

We don't have any arboricolture knowledge and lately I have started to follow this sub. I came to know about exposing root flares for instance, and here I suspect it may be lacking? Do you believe the trees are in a healthy state? Should we expose the root flares? The plastic stuff on the floor was to prevent dogs from digging holes and we'd likes to remove them soon. Any input is appreciated

First 5 photos are of the persimmon tree. The others of the apricot tree.
