I got this little guy about 6 months ago, and he has been growing nicely until recently. I just noticed weird discoloration forming in a line from the rosette, coupled with a weird thin brown line on one of the forming leaves accompanied with deformation. Not sure what could be causing this – my best guess is a watering issue, but I'm really not sure.

Watering: once every 1-2 weeks

If I water every 2 weeks then the plant will start to grow crazy aerial roots from the soil and shrivel its lower leaves, but I feel like weekly watering is too frequent.

Soil: ~50/50 pumice/succulent soil

Light: Grow lights at 500 ppfd 13 hr per day (no natural light)

This is slight variegation. It can happen at random due to variegation being a mutation where cells do not produce chlorophyll. Though this type of variegation does not continue if you propagate leaves like this, at least I have never experienced that to be the case.

Dude!! I just watered mine. 2 bottom leaves were soft. I joked that usually mine is temperamental as hell and drops 1 leave.
2 days later…she spited me with losing 2 leaves instead of 1.

    WTH?!
I thought we were in a great relationship!!!
I’ve had mine for a year.
    Very nice btw. 😎👍🏻
