This is my first philo. Bought it on FB group and only now realised that the top is cut off. Will it still shoot new growth? Also the stems look suspicious and are slightly sticky, is this normal or a red flag?

Any tips greatly appreciated

I don’t have a florida beauty, but I have two florida greens. The reason I have two: I accidentally broke the rootless cutting when I took it home 😁. Both are thriving.
This should tell you something: the top being cut off is not an issue: the plant will find a way to grow.
As for the sticky part: extra floral nectaries, philodendron florida types have lots. My petioles are constantly covered with little drops of sticky nectar.
