The Wowcher set has decent table space despite its statement fire pit design
While I appreciate a pub garden or seaside visit when the weather’s nice, there’s nothing quite like relaxing in my own outdoor space. Whether entertaining mates for beverages or enjoying a chilled coffee in the morning sunshine, my back garden remains my preferred location for catching some rays.
My previous garden furniture has done the job admirably, but with one seat showing a slight crack and certain sections appearing somewhat weathered, I was delighted to test out a replacement. Step forward Wowcher’s Modern L-shaped 9-seater Aluminium Patio Set with a fire pit table.
Usually priced at £2599, it’s currently available from the retailer for £799. The clever configuration makes the most of corner areas, providing two three-seater sofas alongside both wide and compact benches.
Living in the UK with its unpredictable climate, I was pleased to discover the set features a weather-resistant metal frame, along with easy care finishes and removable cushion covers to simplify cleaning. While the weather hasn’t been cooperative recently, I was keen to assemble the patio set promptly so I’m prepared to enjoy those initial precious sunny spells when they eventually appear.

Wowcher’s set is a now a focal point of the garden and has instantly brightened up the space
I haven’t had the chance to use the table for my first barbecue of the year yet, and while the garden requires a bit more attention, it’s already become the centrepiece of the patio. One thing worth mentioning at this stage is that when the furniture is delivered, it’s incredibly heavy and difficult to relocate, particularly on your own. My fiancé managed to shift it to the preferred spot in the garden, though not without some struggle.
Additionally, it requires approximately three hours for someone handy to assemble, and my partner completed this single-handedly (when the weather wasn’t interfering with his progress). He suggests those unfamiliar with DIY might benefit from an additional set of hands, but generally, it was straightforward enough, reports the Mirror.
The challenging aspect, he noted, was the table, which would be simpler to construct with one person steadying it while another secures the nuts and bolts. The seats, however, are straightforward to put together. The most labour-intensive element was unpacking them and then organising and matching the bolts and washers.

Wowcher’s set is getting me excited for summer
I chose the beige colour scheme and it looks incredibly stylish, creating the impression of additional space due to the paler aesthetic. The seats are comfortable, with the cushions feeling plush and inviting thanks to their generously padded construction. It’s also available in grey.
The table provides plenty of space for snacks and beverages, although it’s advisable not to use the firepit feature during a barbecue or gathering where food and drink are being shared, for obvious safety reasons. However, it does come with a protective guard.
One minor drawback is that the firepit requires a gas bottle to function, which isn’t included and needs to be bought separately. This can typically be found at garden centres, but it’s something to consider when setting up. Regular outdoor diners might wish for a bit more table space, but in my experience, it was more than sufficient for our requirements.
The set itself is truly striking – it certainly adds a ‘wow’ factor to our garden. Those with limited space might need to choose a more compact design, but even in a medium-sized garden, it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
Our friends and family have already expressed admiration for the set, which undeniably enhances our garden. Our four-legged companion is also looking forward to basking in the sun on the seats and has already picked out her favourite spot.
For those with smaller patio spaces, the KEPLIN 4 Piece Rattan Garden Furniture Set could be a good alternative. It’s available on Amazon for £118.99, a 30% discount from its original price of £169.99. Meanwhile, Wayfair is offering a deal on the Miacomet Modular PE Rattan Garden Sofa Set and Table, reduced from £1,464.97 to £700.

Jessica put Wowcher’s Modern L-shaped 9-seater Aluminium Patio Set with a fire pit table to the test
With the Wowcher set, the fire pit feature stands out as both functional and attractive, providing warmth on cooler summer nights while impressing visitors. Gone are the days of sheepishly pointing out the wonky chair on our previous set – I’m genuinely looking forward to hosting friends when the weather permits.
Another appealing aspect is that the seating consists of longer benches rather than individual chairs. This design makes them perfect for putting your feet up whether you’re relaxing solo or with a companion. Regarding maintenance, the beige shade might prove less forgiving than its grey alternative, though only time will reveal this. Having said that, I’ll be storing the cushions indoors to shield them from the weather as much as I can.
All things considered, when measured against the cost of comparable designs, such as the Fimous Rattan Garden Furniture Set, available from B&Q for £920.55, and the U-MAX 7-Piece Aluminium Garden Furniture Set, currently retailing for £859.99 at Amazon, Wowcher’s product offers excellent value while appearing high-end.
I’m definitely eager to have people round this summer for an Aperol Spritz or two – though it does mean I’ll need to improve my culinary abilities.
