Anybody want an orange cat!? 🙄 I took my Doc Block Michelle out of the cabinet to get some pictures of the new leaf and I walked away for a second to grab my phone charger. I was walking back and saw this little shit running from the scene of the crime…I looked over and saw the damage. I am so upset and was so proud of this new leaf that I actually cried when I saw that 😭 she’s lucky I love her.

I mainly collect Alocasia’s and just got into Anthuriums so I only have 4 of them but they were quickly becoming some of my favorites, especially this one. This leaf was SO TINY and I had no idea they sized up so much as it hardens! 🤯 is that typical for Anthurium? Also, how long do these take to push out new growth when provided with ideal growing conditions? I don’t wanna wait another 3 months for a dopamine hit…but I will lol 😂

Pic #8 – same leaf TWO DAYS AGO 😳

Pic #9 Nala the plant destroyer

Pic #10 & #11 – images I got before this happened 🥹

Disclaimer: I am aware that they are toxic to cats, but she is not showing any symptoms at all..I used to be a vet tech and will be monitoring her for the next 24 hours

  1. My new leaf can be untouched and even if I look at it funny, it’ll rip up.

Kitty was the culprit this time, but I’ve gotten torn leaves from… ghosts? I don’t have a cat and no one but me touches my plants, so must be a plant hating ghost. 😆 It’s still a beautiful leaf, and there will be many more like it!
