SPRING has officially arrived at Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens.
Families welcomed the new season at a Blossom Bash event hosted by the National Trust over the weekend.
The celebration also marked the opening of four new community blossom spaces, created from designs by young winners of the Blossoming Talent competition.
Located at Marlborough House Community Park, Stechford Hall Park, Heath Way and Ideal Village Park, the spaces were brought to life by Birmingham-based architecture firm Coda Workshop.
The day also featured a range of free outdoor activities, including scavenger trails through the gardens and orchard, flower crown making, blossom-themed crafts, tote bag printing, face painting and interactive storytelling.
The Blossoming Talent project aims to celebrate nature and wildlife in East Birmingham while creating vibrant, sustainable green spaces for local communities.
The project has been delivered by the National Trust and Birmingham City Council, and made possible thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The winning designs were brought to life by Birmingham-based architectural firm Coda Workshop.
