Hi all
After a miserable February we reported a surviving rhubarb plant – if I recall correctly I got it two years old and was a Victoria variety. We placed it in fresh peat free compost and feed it well.
It started growing well which I was initially excited about but then it seems to be growing too well and now everything seems to be growing from a central stem only and is definitely flowering.
Do I remove the entire stem or where should I cut it? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
I was finally looking forward to having a decent crumble this year!

Cut the flowering stem at the base
Take the whole bolting stalk off as you would any other, low down fully out.
Tbh rhubarb is an extremely heavy feeder and drinker. It really wants to be in the ground if you want a good harvest.
