First to set fruit, anyway. Looks like the tomato won’t self-abort and will stay around for the long haul. Rebel Yell and Pruden’s Purple are right there too. The rest of the dozen aren’t too far behind. Six plants in each bed so twelve total. One bed received ~5” transplants February 16th. The other bed received ~10” transplants February 27th. The February 27th bed is a little ahead of the February 16th bed, maybe by about a week.
All systems go at this stage. Nothing much negative to report other I inadvertently broke off one main stem off one Pruden’s Purple plant while trying to pull off a sucker. But, that plant already had two more main stems so no real harm done.
Still a long way to go to getting any ripe tomatoes safely inside the house. Weather looks superb for fruit setting for the foreseeable future. Expecting a whole lot of blooming and fruit setting this upcoming week.
