If there is interest in seeing the roots I have pics of those as well. Here is the control group in: Peatsubstrate “non peat” (dunno what, we lost the bag) Rockwool And 50% peat 50% compost.
There were also 75% compost 25%peat mixes, but they all died due to the level of nutrients in the compost burning the roots before the basil could ever establish themselves.
PS. Fertilizer was only applied once the plants were sprouted.
