I lost my first round of seedlings when a windstorm took down my green house despite it being secure. My seedlings are now starting to come through, and I’m hoping they won’t get leggy, however everyone is saying they will without a grow light. I’ve read some conflicting info on grow lights. What are everyone’s thoughts? Is it really the only way to avoid leggy plants? Does anyone have one they recommend?

If you’ve got a decent enough window with good sunlight then should be fine, I have grow lights as terraced house with minimal window space but it’s not required and even just sowing later to sow outside is also fine, I’m just irrationally impatient lol
Grow lights will help speed things up.
I have some toms and cucumbers on a 16 hour cycle. I do tend to have a mix and the toms without a light are doing fine on the windowsill.
They are looking a little leggy so it would help with consistent growth. But as mentioned above, if you can find a well lit spot it won’t be necessary
