This plant has been neglected for a couple years.

I just repotted it today and found a mix of healthy / weak rotting roots so I trimmed the majority of them off. While I was picking out a new support stake, this section of the plant fell downward & snapped off. I’d like to propagate it but the multiple shoots and super thick areas are really confusing me. All the videos I’ve watched just show a beautiful tall single stem plant climbing upward…. But mine looked like a bushy umbrella before it broke. lol. How can I prevent my new propagation cuttings from growing in this pattern?

Lookslike Fasciation you can’t really the plsnt has mutated it will always grow like that unless theres some nodes that don’t have such traits.

Looks like fasciation to me too, cut bellow where it starts and hopefully a healthy node will take over. His genes tweaked out
