This bush had a witches broom last fall. I was not aware of RRD and what a broom looked like. I pruned it off and went about life. Looks like another broom is starting on the same stem. Thorns are rubbery on the broom. The rest of the plant appears healthy otherwise. Is this bush doomed?

Looks like it but can you provide a picture where the witches broom is in focus?
